Artists against 6 Music closing

One day after Mark Thompson, the Director of BBC, announced the closing down of 6 Music various artists have created petitions and Facebook groups fighting for the BBC to reconsider this decision since this radio is , in the words 0f Thom Yorke, "the radio lifeblood for music outside the mainstream". Some of the artists fighting for 6 Music are RadioHead, LCD Soundsystem and the most notorious of them all, David Bowie.
